We met up with the Caravanners yesterday after they'd been on yet another jolly around sunny Oxford snapping all the weird and wonderful things that make up our city. Their photos for The Pride Of Place exhibition at the O3 Gallery are looking great!
There's still two weeks to go until the deadline for our Here and Now photo competition so grab your cameras and go capture that image that perfectly sums up what Oxford means to you! All successful submissions will be printed and put on show in the gallery at the Old Fire Station as part of our Artweeks exhibition.
You can find all the information regarding the competition and the submissions process here: http://shopattheoldfirestation.blogspot.co.uk/p/here-and-now-photo-competition.html
In the next week or so we'll be starting to upload all the submissions we've had so for onto our Flickr which you can check out here: http://www.flickr.com/groups/1875717@N25/
We are also looking for any other buisnesses who might like to donate to our already burgeoning hamper of prizes that will go to the winner and the two runners up of the competition. If you would be interesting in donating a prize, what ever it might be, then please get in touch at shop@oldfirestation.org.uk
Shop at the Old Fire Station is stocked with a treasure trove of UK based artists, makers and designers. We support early to mid-career artists and makers, showing their work alongside more established practitioners. We also develop partnerships with several local education establishments to provide retail opportunities for emerging makers and work with Crisis Skylight to provide training opportunities for homeless people within the arts. We're open Tuesday – Saturday, 11 - 6.
